When I wrote The Very Last Leaf in 2020, I knew Doug needed his own story someday. I’m thrilled to see him out in the world, shining his bright light!
It was beautiful coincidence that my family and I happened to be vacationing on the Olympic peninsula in Washington during the book release. We spent all week walking amongst the towering fir trees and even giving the Doug’s a big hug. Then, we celebrated with a story time and signing at the most adorable Saltwater Bookshop in Kingston, Washington.
